Wordless Wednesday: Jeopardy

This was an answer on today’s episode of Jeopardy.

Category: “Can I live without you?”

(MY answer: Yep, been living without mine for over 20 years now, Alex.)

About Shannon

I am a wife, a mommy, and a Type 1 diabetic (since '92.) I have had two successful pregnancies - one of which was with twins. I wear an insulin pump- - off and on for 17 years; currently on the Medtronic pump and CGM. I am not a medical professional, nor am I giving medical advice. I am just sharing my day to day stories of someone who lives with this disease every day. My ultimate goal is to raise awareness.

I’m living without mine too as of January this year. Loving my Animas Pump and Dexcom CGM so that I can live life to the fullest! YAY

  2. Scott E says:

I like the choice or words. Next time someone claims insulin is a cure, I’ll respond that, no, it simply “mitigates it in part”.

  3. Sara says:

Did you know that the pancreas is like 10% insulin production and the rest is digestive enzymes and such? So really, for most of us, our pancreases are still doing a pretty good job!
