New meter

I finally made the switch from my ol’ faithful Freestyle Lite to the new Accu-Check Nano.  I tested this morning with the same drop of blood and came up with this discrepancy –

I’m curious – for those of you that have switched meters, how much of a discrepancy are you personally “okay” with?  This was my first test of the day (please pay no attention to the number itself .. I’m pregnant with twins, and I’d taken a longer than usual shower, so I was disconnected longer than usual– always an excuse, right?)  😉

I didn’t want to switch meters, so I’ve been reluctant to do so. But because of insurance reasons, I had to, so I’ll make it work 🙂 I’m sure the new one is just fine, I just want to be comfortable with the readings.  I definitely like the size of it, and I like the lighting of it – will be easier to read at night. And I like that it’s also a no-coding necessary meter. (Not a fan of having to code with every new bottle.)

I’ll keep you posted on how it goes, but other than this morning’s discrepancy, so far so good.  Does anyone else use this particular meter?

Twins update: Both babies and I are doing great so far. I’m having my 6th sonogram on Thursday of this week (Happy birthday to me!) — one “good” thing about being diabetic .. I get a LOT of sonograms, and we’ll hopefully find out genders. It’s with our specialist that does the high level sonograms (Perinatologist).  But so far so good!
